The BioSystems A15 is a fully automated biochemistry analyzer: it pipettes the sample, adds reagents and reads the result with no manual step in between. Do I need to fast for a cholesterol or blood-sugar test? For a lipid profile and a fasting blood sugar, yes — usually 10–12 hours of fasting (water is fine). For a random sugar, no. Call 071 123 1954 and we'll confirm what your specific test needs.
